"The clinical study focusing on the preventive effects of supplementation with plant polyphenols on memory ability and well-being of older people is ongoing. The effects of this nutritional intervention are measured by psychological and biological tests. Individual variability is assessed by genetic and transcriptomic analyzes."

"This intervention study is undertaken as a multicenter, randomized, double-blind and placebo-controlled study among French and Quebecer subjects. The methodology of the study is based on the results of two longitudinal studies. We want to test the effects of a daily supplementation of fruit extracts during 6 months among adults aged from 60 to 70 years.

The efficacy of fruit extracts intervention will be evaluated on memory performances. As a second objective, we will also evaluate the effect of this supplementation on psychological aspects (depression, fatigue, memory complaint).

Indeed, we postulate that the improvement of cognitive functioning will have psychological benefits and that the volunteers exposed to the treatment will have a better quality of life and will be less likely to be depressed."
