FAQ
- How do polyphenols work?
As natural antioxidants, polyphenols prevent the cells oxidation and thus fight cellular aging. The antioxidant action of polyphenols can be explained by several mechanisms. They are able to trap free radicals responsible for oxidative stress, as well as improve the bodies antioxidant capacity by protecting other endogenous antioxidants such as vitamin E. Polyphenols can also neutralize some metals (iron and copper mainly) involved in the production of superoxide ions. Polyphenols also have anti-inflammatory effects.
